The key elements of the Tailorlux solution are spectroscopy and inorganic chemistry. Unlike standard luminescence solutions which are using upconverters and decay time analysis, Tailorlux provides individual fingerprints which can be detected with spectroscopy providing more efficient and secure markings.
The spectrometer – high-tech in handheld format
With a high-resolution spectrometer, special software and customized detection settings, handheld spectrometer, the Tailor-Scan 4, offers a perfect package for your marking solutions. Having spectroscopy in the field, Tailorlux will enlarge the capability of its handheld device to support traceability and product passports also with NIR analysis in the field to ensure integrity of material blends and provide verified sensor-based documentation points.

The implementation of traceability solutions begins with the integration of markers into raw materials or products. These markers are supplied in various forms, such as dispersions, masterbatches, or individual tracer fibers, ensuring easy integration into any industrial process. In the field, handheld sensors are used to reliably read these markers. On request, the addition of the marker is documented using intelligent dispensing systems, generating the first data point for the digital twin. This step establishes the foundation for material traceability and transparency within supply chains.
