Make your Staple fiber impact visible with Tailorlux’s integriTEX Physical Traceability Solution
Material integrity plays a definite role in determining the quality and performance of textile products. Using physical tracers to make material impact visible offers a powerful solution for ensuring transparency and authenticity in the textile supply chain. By integrating Physical tracers into materials, manufacturers can precisely track and verify the origin, composition, and journey of their products. This visibility not only enhances quality assurance and combats counterfeiting but also supports sustainability claims by providing verifiable data. As a result, brands can build consumer trust, meet regulatory requirements, and promote a more ethical and sustainable textile industry.
3 Core Elements to make your Impact Visible
There are three elements to secure the material integrity of staple fibers like cotton, recycled cotton, wool or other fibers in spinning, ginning, shredding or similar operations to make sustainability impact visible. The core element is the documented and accurate dosing of tracer fibers which contain the individual tracer for your project.
– Tracer Fiber
– Dosing Device
– Tailor-Scan 4 Sensor
Your Individual Tracer Fiber
A unique spectral signature based on inorganic particles is being added in the dope of a tracer fiber. This is now the tracer fiber with your individual manufacturer fingerprint embedded within the structure of the fiber. This fiber is available in PLA and Viscose.
The tracer fiber will be delivered in boxes as filament yarn to be fed into the automatic dosing device that cuts & crimps the filament to a staple. The fibers fall apart as staple fiber and blend into your staple fiber conveyor system. The tracer fiber only needs 0,1% in the yarn to be scannable.
Ask for an ash-prove tracer to even quantify the proportion of marked fibers within a product!
Dosing Device
Exact and automated Dosing with IoT Interface
Tailorlux patented tracer fiber dosing Chopcot® technology that creates the entry point for integriTEX® tracer fibers. The unit crimps and cuts filaments to staple fiber, and then doses the fiber into the material flow homogeneously. Housing, creel, yarn breakage sensor and control box complete the chopper as a plug & play solution. An IoT box is integrated to receive telemetry data on dosing operations and connect to traceability platforms. The highest speed of the Dosing Device is 80 kg/hour.
Tailor-Scan 4
The Tailor-Scan 4 is a high-resolution handheld spectrometer to detect your tracer in any color or form. The included software allows you to create new detection settings and share results with other supply chain partners.
The Tailor-Scan 4 is a wavelength and sensitivity pre-calibrated sensor with a scalable spectroscopy concept. It is supplied with an operator software to detect the signal intensity of tracers allowing semi-quantification of ash.
Make your material impact visible through a unique material fingerprint and seamlessly collect material data for advanced digital solutions like Digital Product Passports (DPP).
